These terms are the agreement between you and Yvonne Wereko ("Summit", "we", "us") for use of the Summit app and summitstudyapp.com. By creating an account or using Summit, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Summit.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Summit. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian, and by using Summit you confirm that you have it.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules.
What you put into Summit stays yours. Your notes, decks, grades and messages belong to you.
To run the app, you give us permission to store, display, and process that content — for example, to save a deck, show it back to you, or send your notes to an AI service to generate flashcards at your request. That permission exists only to operate Summit for you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
Only upload material you have the right to use. Don't upload a copyrighted textbook or a classmate's work and pass it through Summit as your own.
AI can be wrong. Summit checks every generated card and question against the notes you supplied and removes claims that contradict them, but this reduces mistakes rather than eliminating them. Check anything you're going to rely on.
Summit calculates grades and GPA from what you enter. It does not connect to your school's grade system.
Your school's official records are the real ones. A number in Summit can be wrong because a grade was mistyped, a category weight is different from what your teacher uses, or an assignment is missing. The same goes for bell schedules and class times — check them against your school's own schedule. Don't make a decision that matters based only on what Summit shows you.
Summit is free to use. Summit Premium is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Premium is sold through Apple as an auto-renewing subscription.
We may change what Premium includes or what it costs. If the price changes, Apple will ask you to agree before charging the new amount.
Summit is an independent app built by an individual. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any school, school district, or education company, including Schoology, PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Google, or Apple. Product names are mentioned only to describe what Summit does or does not do.
Summit is provided as it is. We may change features, add limits, or stop offering parts of the service. We try to keep it running, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, or if we stop operating Summit. If we shut the service down, we'll give notice in the app so you can get your material out.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Summit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost grades, or academic outcomes.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $50 USD.
Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and let you know in the app. Using Summit after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
